Cranberry Town Center

Filed under: Shopping Centers, Cranberry Town Center — Paul @ 8:28 pm

This one apparently has been in the works for quite some time, but it sounds like they are getting very close to getting the deal done.  Cranberry Town Center, targeted to be opened in fall 2009, will be the largest, most distinctive shopping and entertainment destination in Cranberry Township. It will be located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Pennsylvania State Route 228 and U.S. Route 19.

The 885,000-square-foot mixed-use Cranberry Town Center will be a true “town center.” Visitors will take advantage of the mix of major anchors, fashion retailers, home furnishings and sports-related junior
anchors, restaurants and a multi-screen theater. Additionally, Cranberry Town Center will also feature condominiums, Class A commercial offi ce space and a hotel. The Town Center is certain to be a premier shopping and entertainment destination in the region.

The open-air project will be designed with characteristics unique to the Cranberry community. An emphasis will be placed on creating inviting and memorable spaces normally associated with the most
attractive downtown shopping districts. Cranberry Town Center will provide a convenient and unique shopping and leisure-time setting to be enjoyed by the entire community.

Here’s a link to the promotional document for prospective retailers, but it has some interesting info:

  1. […] Cabela’s, an outdoor retailer, appears to be considering the proposed Cranberry Town Center for a expansion into Western Pensilvania.  More details can be found on the 7 fields blog. […]

  2. This project appears to be officially dead in 2009. The City/State/PenDOT/Simon could not come to an agreement on the road projects necessary to handle the traffic. Bummer!
